75% of the world’s population has a mobile phone

In 2000 there were about 1000 million Subscribers and today that number has multiplied by 6 to reach 6,000,000,000 subscribers, I put all zeros to make it look nice.
This approach was made by the World Bank and its innovation and entrepreneurship called infoDev. Note that the subscribers were considered as prepaid and postpaid lines. Surprise in the study of infoDev which is quite common that a person has more than one subscription, why cualen some not too distant future the number of subscriptions will surpass the number of inhabitants on this planet.
Among other results obtained by the study include 30 billion (30 billion) mobile applications downloaded in 2011. From that figure one can infer the large number of existing smartphones, as users who have one are usually voracious consumers of apps.
