Founder of TAT, responsible for the BB10 interface, RIM will
Bad news for the team working around the clock to come up with BB10 early next year. RIM has confirmed that Hampus Jakobsson – who was the founder of The Astonishing Tribe – has left his position as Director of Strategic Alliances at Research In Motion and, incidentally, any participation in the planning of the future user interface that BlackBerry will have 10, the next operating system from Canada.
TAT is the company that acquired some time ago and RIM to absorb its intellectual property and create all the visual effects we could look at the small advances made in BB10, which does not mean that this is over here … There is a group within of the company – many employees from the acquired company – which is in charge of end-time work.
On the motives Jakobsson to go from Canada, has only been limited to ensure that he is a guy who likes to startups, and has decided to start a new one. Sounds like a good excuse … Especially considering that currently the former owner of TAT has pockets full of money, which many yearn to start your own business.
