Our main character has a design that really draw much attention for its elegant, slim and light it is. The team sent us Huawei is black and white past behind, and this color combination makes it look really pretty, yet sexy, the truth is that I rather liked its design.
As regards the quality of materials, one can see that are of very good quality. Personally I pressed on all sides and the team made no funny noises or crackling, it’s all good sign, so here we must congratulate the Chinese manufacturer. Now, I can not fail to mention the great similarity that has the Samsung Galaxy SII in the rear, although frontal does not look like anything.
But hey, we begin to examine their design to learn more about the smartphone:
We find his head on Super AMOLED screen of 4.3 inches, then at the top we find the headset, light sensor and proximity, a multi-color LED for notifications and the front camera of 1.3 megapixels. Then in the bottom, we find three touch keys: Options, Home and Back.

On the left side of the team, we see only the buttons for volume control, which also serve to control the camera’s digital zoom.
On the right side of the team, we see the key on and off, which also serves to lock or unlock the screen door is the MicroSD card slot.
Then we see the bottom where only we have the main microphone, and finally see the top we can see the audio output 3.5 mm jack, microUSB port and SIM card slot.
Huawei’s camera is 8 megapixel P1 and is capable of 1080p Full HD video at 30 frames per second and integrating different options to further improve the quality of images and videos. It is also accompanied by a dual LED flash rather powerful white photographs or videos for your night, it also incorporates HDR to further improve the final quality.

Here we leave with a video recorded at the highest possible quality so you can appreciate the quality with which records our Huawei P1:
The Ascend Huaewei P1 is definitely a team that is 100% optimized for the multimedia world. It features a powerful dual-core processor and a display SuperAMOLED of excellent quality, ideal to play movies with the best quality possible. It also includes a new music player supported by Dolby Mobile sound effects.
The music player interface is very attractive to the eye, even includes lyric display and an animation that goes to the beat.
You can play music files in MP3, WAV, AAC, AAC + Plus, AC3 and FLAC, as well as to view the cover of the album of the artist you’re listening to the lyrics of the song. Also you have the typical options for shuffle and repeat that most media players have.
To improve sound quality, our protagonist has the support of Dolby Mobile, promoting pre-equalized profiles you mention below:
R & B
You can also play your favorite songs with the convenience of choosing the folder you want to play.
The FM tuner that incorporates our protagonist works pretty well, has a very good signal reception, including a signal meter to see what such is the power with which it receives the signal of the selected station.
It also has up to 40 memories for programming your favorite stations and access them quickly. It also integrates a handy function that simulate as if you were changing a knob similar frequency, as they used to do with the old radios.
Unfortunately no built FM radio RDS (Radio Data System) and often incorporate the vast majority of FM tuners.
With Huawei P1 can play videos in MP4, WMV and 3GP with a maximum resolution of 1920 X 1080 at a rate of 30 frames per second and up to 60 pictures at a resolution of 1280 X 720.
The video player allows you to transmit the video you are playing directly from DLNA, besides activating the audio effects provided by Dolby Mobile.
The browser incorporates our star of this W Labs is the original that features Ice Cream Sandwich, keeping the original interface, without having received any modification by Huawei.
The speed with which loads the web pages you visit is very fast, it also supports Adobe Flash Player 11 and HTML5 to have maximum compatibility with the sites you visit. The browser also integrates the ability to add new windows to maintain several websites at once.
The GPS is very well behaved when we went out to test the equipment coming out of our offices to connect in just 4 seconds using the A-GPS and almost 35 seconds using the GPS.
For internal use of GPS equipment, Huawei P1 integrates Google Maps which will give you maps and satellite images, plus give you directions to get to your destination free. You also have the ability to download other browsers from Google Play GPS Store, which will be fully compatible with our protagonist.
The screen incorporates the Huawei Ascend is Super AMOLED P1, with a size of 4.3 inches and a resolution of 540 × 960 pixels. The 16 million color AMOLED screen is noticeable, as it achieves vivid colors and real black, giving a correct contrast and brightness to the images or videos that look at one of the latest equipment to the Chinese firm.
The quality of the colors which our hero screen is very good, colors are vivid and bright screen delivers you, it helps it look more brilliant. The truth is, I must say I liked how the colors look, blacks are deep, and the response speed in the fast imaging is good.
We also test the display in broad daylight and it looked excellent, although the brightness full automatic firing.
The Huawei P1 has two audio sources: The headset and speaker.
The sound quality that you deliver the phone when making calls is very good. It gives you clear sound, loud and clear, which is not saturated by having the volume too high.
The p1 Huawei has an acceptable sound and it sounds tight, but not what I expected personally. Now, the good thing is that is located on the bottom of the computer and it is overhung the housing, allowing the sound comes out normally when the computer is on a flat surface.
The P1 Huawei operates with the operating system Android OS 4.0.3 and comes Ice Cream Sandwich personalized with the new 3D interface called Emotion Huawei launches UI is very likeable, but the team also lets you choose the original Android interface called Holo . Thus, two interfaces have to choose on your team. And thanks to the powerful hardware features, Android practically flies on this computer without any lag in the system.
The new interface called Emotion UI features a modern 3D desktop which is composed of 6 desktops that are fully customizable with a variety of 3D widgets normal widgets and shortcuts to your applications, with the possibility of creating “circles” that are being as folders to enter there are several shortcuts.
Emotion UI also changes the main menu interface of the computer, making it a true 3D menu and changing the icons giving you a touch of elegance to each of them.
Well, over here we have the Holo interface which is the original Ice Cream Sandwich and we all know.
Over here we can see the contacts menu which keeps the interface Craem Ice Holo. You can add enough information to a contact as Name, Last Name, add image, number, email, IM address, groups ringtone, management, organization, notes, alias, web site, birthday and anniversary.
Huawei Multimedia Gallery P1 is the original Ice Cream Sandwich, but unfortunately it is very basic and does not have many options, just to share files.
And other applications menu
This is the main menu offers the Huawei Android P1 Ice Cream Sandwich:
For here we see the setup menu, which keeps the design of Ice Cream Sandwich:
For here we see the number keypad which has not been customized by Huawei:
We also have some unique applications that Huawei wanted to add to the team which I will detail below:
UD Cloud +> This application lets you directly access your files stored on your personal cloud or stored on the phone. This App allows you to make copies from your phone to your virtual cloud or vice versa.
Security> This useful application lets you enter contacts, messages, or any number to a blacklist and a whitelist. Thus, the computer will reject all such contacts or numbers within blacklist automatically. You also have access to a record where you will see all calls or messages that were rejected for being on the blacklist. Plus you’ll create a password and protect your files from unauthorized access by you and you can encrypt or decrypt files.
The P1 Huawei is well rounded in terms of connectivity incorporating Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / b, Bluetooth 3.0, 3G/HSDPA, Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi Hotspot.
It is also suitable to operate in most of the operators of the World, as it operates on GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and GPRS EDGE UMTS HSDPA in 850/900/1700/1900/2100.
We tested the Wi-Fi and really do not work as well as I expected, as being something away from my Wi-Fi staff, the team was no signal, while at the same place where a Note Galaxy captures the Wi-Fi without any problems.
We tested also the option for Wi-Fi Hotspot, which worked very well coming to support up to 8 users online at once, and allows to change this limit to one digit less.
We tested the Huawei P1 Bluetooth 3.0 Bluetooth 3.0 with Galaxy transferring a file Note that weighs no more than 5 MB, transferred in just 1 second, whereas Wi-Fi Direct, the transfer was made in 8 seconds.
The DLNA also worked correctly and that at no time had a break in the HD video playback or when playing music.
The internal battery is P1 Ascend Huawei Li-Ion, 1670 mAh operating at 3.7 volts and the battery according to the manufacturer offer a range of 380 hours of standby without specifying whether it is 2G or 3G mode. While calls get 6 hours and 40 minutes either without specifying if it is 2G or 3G mode. Obviously I do not trust what the manufacturer says so I decided to make my own personal test, starting with stop charging the battery overnight before starting my workday.
[06:30 - Battery 100%] Huawei turn on P1, which is connected to internet via 3G mobile immediately and remains so throughout the day. I connect my Bluetooth headset and Sony Ericsson LiveView my watch and set active player to go listen to music while I go to work. During the trip, I sometimes get emails and I use Twitter and Foursquare but very little. [07:35 - Battery 88%] came to the office and from there I use the computer to use email, Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, WhatsApp, Chaton and some calls throughout the day but not so then. [18:00 - Battery 53%] end of my workday and I’m going home connecting my headphones Bluetoothy LiveView the clock again with the player set to go listen to music and go applications using instant messaging and Twitter. [19:15 - Battery 31%] came to my house and leave the equipment there on standby and occasionally use WhatsApp and Chaton. [23:00 - Battery 24%] I go to sleep and powering down the computer without loading it still has a battery. The next day I repeated the same process and the battery began to warn me that he was running low near 10 in the morning.
In short, the team gave me an autonomy of 21 hours.
Final opinion of the Author
The Huawei Aspend P1 is a team that really impressed me, especially knowing that comes from a Chinese manufacturer and good …. we all know the bad reputation of a product is coming from Asian country. I say “impressed” by how well made is this smartphone, with the quality of your screen, the quality of internal components, etc.. It is a team that has nothing to envy in the big manufacturers like Samsung, LG, Nokia, etc.
I liked the quality of the camera, photos and video captures with excellent quality. And it struck me that the videos recorded with the quality of 21Mbps, which had not seen before on other computers.
I liked the sound quality delivered by the audio player, thanks to Dolby Mobile technology that integrates and also pre-equalized profiles that much better audio. While it does not have an equalizer manually, you do not have it.
The screen is equal to that which brings the Galaxy SII but about quality. The colors are very bright and vivid, has excellent contrast and brightness, and an excellent response when you touch the screen and fast image processing time.
It is certainly a team that if I buy it, is like a Samsung Galaxy SII but a little faster and its design is exquisite, elegant, light, is the perfect size because it does not bother at all in your pocket.
