Imperdible: Live2D, software that gives life to a 2D image

There is a Japanese company that is making a lot of noise as far as 3D technology is concerned. The company in question is called Cybernoids and why has grabbed all the media is the recent demonstration of its software called Live 2D that is able to give life to a 2D image and immediately transform 3D motion besides giving natural.

Two days ago a YouTube video went up on an interview with one of the project leaders and surprised how easy it is to animate a 2D image using the software developed.

If you want to try a bit of how ‘technology’ developed by them can download an application that shows how the rendering engine.

TIP: The app uses the front camera and also allows interaction if you play the character.
