iOS in the Car allows you to use the phone while driving via Siri # WWDC13
The Apple’s voice assistant, Siri, received a major update which changed its design, now being similar to iOS 7 spot colors, as well as the interface, also adding new functionality and modify the configuration via voice prompts, such as enable and disable Bluetooth, or change the screen brightness.
Another thing to note are the new voices, now Siri is not limited to a female voice, giving the option to choose a man’s voice, which right now is also available in French and German, to what is ‘ll be adding other options over time.
Siri also now integrated Internet services to deliver results, such as Twitter, Wikipedia and even Bing, Microsoft’s search engine.
The Apple voice assistant will also be the foundation of ‘iOS in the Car’ (iOS in the car), a new platform that will emulate the functionality of the iPhone on the front panel of a car to bring “a whole new level integration new “because it can access music, diary, personal messages and various services using voice commands through Siri.
Apple announced that 16 car manufacturers begin to develop their vehicles with support for this platform since 2014, among which are leading manufacturers such as Ferrari and Jaguar.
