Poster Automattic bought the WordPress client for iOS

is the owning company of WordPress.com (which is not the same as the open source platform), and recently decided to buy posters , a popular WordPress client, in order to integrate it into their own products in order to improve them.

The only developer Poster, Tom Witkin, now will join the mobile team WordPress.com, and pledged to continue providing support for application to all who so far had purchased (for version 2.0, which launched in January , and retired from the App Store).

is considered one of the best WordPress mobile applications designed, so it is an excellent move by Automattic, because official WordPress application lacked many features such as integration with Dropbox Poster or support for custom fields.
