RIM says it will have more than 70,000 BB10 ready to launch apps
The Head of Marketing at Research In Motion, Frank Boulben, said in a recent interview that they are making aggressive bets with developers worldwide to convince them to port their apps to BB10 is paying off, leading to the 30th of January reaches a remarkable 70,000 applications (or more) ready to be downloaded from BlackBerry World, the new name of your app store.
This is very interesting considering that only for this release are already exceeding the number of applications than its previous generation of equipment was able to amass over a long period of time. At least the devs goes well with medium and small. Anyway, Boulben is convinced that this will help boost the value proposition with local apps to deliver between 200 and 400 per region in a first step, making this relevant consumer OS.
But it’s all about developers. Boulben also said he has already started a campaign to show the general public the salient features of this mobile operating system, for what they have already begun to meet privately with selected extensively known characters. These “influencers” – among which include American celebrities in the first stage – are seeing the equipment, the entire system and all that RIM plans to heat the room and allow social networks, creating popular expectation.BB, BB10, BBX, BlackBerry 10, Influencers, Research In Motion, RIM
