Samsung officially unveils the Galaxy S4 Active
Another day, another release from Samsung. But we see today is not a clone average range-of-other-previous one as this Wednesday is a team that expected for later in the month. This is the Galaxy S4 Active, a team recreated to be resistant to water, dust and shock, but without neglecting what you would expect of a high end computer.
The Galaxy S4 Active has a 5-inch screen Full HD, Quad-Core 1.9 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.2.2, support for LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0 and all we saw in the original S4 … Except for its front-panel technology – TFT now instead of Super AMOLED – and back camera, instead of being 8MP 13MP is. Nothing so dramatic, really.
As software also see a change, because between multiple camera setups see the newly built Aqua Mode. With this configuration you can take better pictures underwater as it eliminates any aberrations that may occur when used in this element.
In water, the S4 Active promises to be a champion to stand 30 minutes submerged one meter deep with no problems. It also resists shock, dust and abuse that focused heat can give.
The equipment will be available first in the U.S. and Sweden, and then – eventually – will continue its expansion around the world.
