Toshiba working on a smartphone camera that allows you to change the focus of the picture after taking
The module works in which Toshiba is, however, much smaller than what has been presented Lytro. Use more than 500,000 micro-lenses in front of a sensor 5 x 7 mm and 1 cm thick. That would be enough to get him inside a mobile phone, although one may not be so thin.
The system will use software to combine the images captured by each microlensing delivering control over the focus after taking the picture, or to create photographs where everything is in focus.
Although it sounds great, will have to prove how well it works and what is the image quality that can deliver this type of system. The company expects to commercialize the end of next year.
